This KATANA was made in ECHIZEN (now Fukui Prefecture) in the early Edo period.
The blade is signed "Echizenju Harimadaijo Fujiwara Shigetaka".
Fujiwara Shigetaka has first and second generations.
Although not mentioned on the certificate, the signature style implies that this KATANA was created by the second generation.
The sharpening is old and the blade has a few small rust spots.
However, there are no serious defects.
It is in good condition.
It is accompanied by a SHIRASAYA and a KOSHIRAE in good condition.
The blade has NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho token certificate.
